We are an installer for Alan Howells now famous bonnet conversion. The main bonnet of the Tuscan is converted from a bolt on item to an easy lift pivoting bonnet using gas struts and spherical bearing rod ends as hinge mounts.
We have to trim the leading edge of the main bonnet to allow it to pivot and clear the grill. We then use Allan Howells kit to mount the bonnet on the rod end hinges and drill and fit the new mounts and gas struts. This allows easy access to the engine bay while the small bonnet can still be opened separately or both bonnets can be opened together.
